I was taught electronic music directly under Peter Elsea! He maintained these perfect electronic studios for students to use including one with a full E-mu modular system that would inspire me to stay up all night to record with.

He also taught me how to use Max/MSP, which always suffered in comparison to using the actual modular sitting right next to me. DSP has come a long way though.

Sweet! Would you happen to have a good resource for the Fourier Transform? One that doesn't assume you already know calculus? But understands that you are a quick study if given a run-through of what the math is doing? :)
