Phasor + Sin vs Sin Osc
  • I've been using a Sin Oscillator as an LFO for a number of things, but I just read the Phasor docs, which describe connecting a Phasor to a Sin node (or math expr).

Is the difference that the Sin Oscillator operates at audio rates and the Phasor operates at control rates? I.e. is the difference a matter of performance, or are there functional differences as well?
  • Hi @jjthrash,

In the case of generating a sine wave, the only difference is performance. However if you were to try to build another wave using the Phasor (say, a sawtooth), you can run into aliasing issues which the Osc node would handle.
